STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Frontier Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:FTR) announced today that
John P. Gianukakis has been appointed Vice President and Treasurer,
effective immediately. Gianukakis reports to John M. Jureller, Executive
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
"John's 25 years of experience in treasury, financial services, capital
markets, insurance, bank relationships, investment and commercial
banking and information technology make him extremely well-qualified to
lead Frontier's treasury operation. We look forward to John joining
Frontier's finance team, strengthening and improving our already robust
corporate treasury activities, including cash management, capital
markets and pension investments," said Jureller.
Most recently Gianukakis was Senior Vice President Finance and Treasurer
of Castleton Commodities International, a merchant energy trading and
asset operator formerly part of the Louis Dreyfus Commodities Group,
managing the treasury team responsible for areas including global debt
capital markets, liquidity and cash management, bank relationships, bank
financial reporting and insurance.
From 1996-2010, Gianukakis was with IBM Corporation. As Vice President
Finance and Assistant Treasurer of this global provider of information
technology products and services, he managed a global team of finance
and treasury professionals responsible for cash flow and balance sheet
planning, treasury operations, insurance, rating agency relations, and
capital structure management. His career at IBM included Director,
Business Development for IBM Global Services, a unit that generates
approximately half of IBM's annual revenue, and the Storage Systems
Group, where he evaluated companies for acquisition or partnership to
accelerate expansion.
His earlier experience includes positions at AIG Trading Group,
ContiChem Oil Trading and Phibro Energy Corporation. He is a graduate of
Lehigh University with a B.S. in Business and Economics and the
University of Connecticut with an M.B.A. in Finance.
