Skilled, Seasoned Executive to Lead Operations
BLOOMINGTON, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Frontier Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:FTR), a leading provider of
broadband, voice, data and satellite television services, today
announced that Eric Barie, currently Vice President of Marketing for
Frontier’s Central Region, has been named Senior Vice President and
General Manager of Illinois operations, comprising seven markets. Based
in Frontier’s state headquarters in Bloomington-Normal, Barie will
oversee all operations, residential and commercial sales, and customer
experience functions. The Illinois territory is among the largest in the
27 states served by Frontier, with approximately 650 employees.

Barie succeeds Michael Flynn, named today as President of the company’s
new Mid-Atlantic Region comprising Ohio and West Virginia. Flynn
succeeds Ken Arndt, named today as named President of the company’s new
East Region comprising New York and Pennsylvania. Pending completion of
Frontier’s acquisition of AT&T’s Connecticut wireline business and
statewide fiber network, Connecticut operations will become part of the
East Region.

Most recently, Barie was Vice President of Regional Marketing for
Frontier’s Central Region, leading marketing operations across 24
markets in six states to drive sales of products and services.
Previously, he was Director of Marketing for Frontier’s Midwest Region
and before that, Senior Marketing Manager for FairPoint Communications.

Barie earned a Master in Business Administration from Champlain College
and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing with a minor in Accounting
from State University of New York College at Plattsburgh.
Eric and his wife Maggie will relocate from Fort Wayne, Indiana to
Bloomington-Normal with their two young children.
