STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Frontier Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: FTR), a leading provider of
communications services throughout 28 states and headquartered in
Connecticut since 1946, announced today the appointment of Shawn D.
Silver as Area General Manager for Hartford County, Connecticut. The
appointment follows Frontier’s recent acquisition AT&T's wireline
business, statewide fiber network, and U-verse video and satellite
operations in Connecticut.

As Area General Manager for Frontier’s operations in Hartford County,
Silver is responsible for every aspect of the customer experience,
including voice, internet and TV services; marketing; business
development strategies and providing leadership to engage employees and
key community stakeholders. Silver reports to Paul Quick, Senior Vice
President and General Manager of Frontier’s Connecticut operations.

Silver joins Frontier with more than 20 years of managerial, sales and
customer service experience. Most recently, he served as Director of
Sales for United Technologies Corporation in Farmington, achieving
record sales by introducing strategies to improve internal and external
business relationships. Before that, Silver was a Regional General
Manager for Total Communications, Inc., an East Hartford-based IT &
Telecommunications firm. Those jobs, plus earlier leadership roles at
SNET position Silver to deliver excellent customer experiences.

A native of Simsbury, Connecticut, Silver now lives in Clinton with his
wife, Tina, and two daughters. After attending Avon Old Farms High
School, he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from
Albertus Magnus College, where he was a member of the Tau Pi Phi
National Honors society.
Silver volunteers for the Women & Family Life Center in Guilford, an
organization dedicated to assisting women and their families facing
crises and major life transitions. He also coaches and fundraises for
the Clinton youth soccer league and regularly participates in efforts to
promote awareness and find a cure for pancreatic cancer.
