Walk to Save Lives and Help Eradicate Cancer
EVERETT, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
A team from Frontier Communications will join The American Cancer
Society’s (ACS) Bark for Life walk at McCollum Park, 600 128th
St. SE in Everett on Saturday, July 14th at 9:30 a.m.
This walk will help raise funds and awareness of The ACS’s mission to
eliminate cancer through prevention, research, education, advocacy and
service. Join the Frontier team, their friends and their canine
companions for a fun-filled day that starts with a dog walk and
continues with contests and games.
Ken Baldwin, Frontier’s General Manager for Everett remarked,
“Supporting The ACS is critical to winning the fight against a common
and potentially deadly disease. In 2012 alone, The ACS reports that
about 577,190 Americans are expected to die of cancer. Cancer knows no
boundaries, so this local effort is an important part of a global
battle.”
Frontier Communications is also sponsoring a dog from the Everett
Animal Shelter and paying any adoption fees on behalf of the
individual or family who gives it a good and loving home. Frontier is
also accepting pet food and supplies on behalf of the Animal Shelter;
donations may be dropped off at Frontier’s office at 1800 41st St. in
Everett or given to any Frontier employee.
