500 employees now based in Allen; Frontier plans continued hiring
ALLEN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Frontier Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: FTR) formally opened a new
center in Allen, Texas on January 25, 2012. Approximately 500 employees
work in a 84,000 square-foot facility located at 805 South Central
Expressway. Members of Frontier’s senior leadership team and all
Frontier Allen employees joined state and local civic, community and
business leaders at the ribbon-cutting ceremony which included
Presentation of Colors by the Wylie High School Air Force Junior ROTC
and several Frontier employees who are military veterans and reservists.
At the ceremony, Frontier senior executives, including Chairman and CEO
Maggie Wilderotter; Dan McCarthy, Executive Vice President and Chief
Operating Officer; Kathleen Abernathy, Chief Legal Officer and Executive
Vice President of Government Affairs; and Cecilia McKenney, Executive
Vice President of Human Resources and Call Center Sales and Service,
spoke of the company’s commitment to Allen and intent to hire more
employees in the areas of marketing, product development, Internet help
desk management, customer service and engineering.

The Allen Center is also home to a new National Operations Center (NOC),
one of several that manage the traffic and security of Frontier’s
national communications network. Specialized telecommunications
equipment and highly-trained engineers allow 24/7 monitoring,
maintenance, and restoration of Frontier networks and services.
